Coach Brown is in his 7th year as the Head Coach at Pepperell High School. Coach Brown led the Dragons to the State Finals in 2025, Pepperell's first appearance since 1985. The Dragons would bring home the GHSA State Runner-Up tropy. Since taking over the program in 2020, the Dragons have won four region titles (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025), State Finalist (2025), reached the Sweet Sixteen three times (2021, 2022, 2024), and finished the season ranked in the Top-10 of the final state poll three times (#9 -2020, #6-2024, #2-2025). Coach Brown was named the Region Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2025. Coach Brown is also the Head Softball Coach at Pepperell High School.
Before becoming a Dragon, he served as the Associate Head Coach at Bowdon High School. During his time in Bowdon, the baseball team won a region title (2016, 5-AA), reached the Final Four twice (2018 & 2019, A), Elite Eight (2016, AA), and Sweet 16 (2017, A). Coach Brown also served three seasons as Head Coach for the Bowdon Middle School softball team, where they played for the league title all three years, winning in 2016. He was named the Georgia Class 'A' Assistant Baseball Coach of the Year for the 2019 season.
Originally from Ephesus, Georgia, Coach Brown is a 2005 graduate of Heard County High School where he was captain for the baseball team and also played football. Attending the University of West Georgia, he obtained a Bachelor’s in Sport Administration with a minor in Business Administration, as well as a Master’s in Special Education. His background in sports also includes a 5-year stint at Heard County Parks and Recreation, where he served as Athletic Director.
Coach Brown resides in Silver Creek, Georgia with his wife, Erica, and their three children. Mrs. Brown teaches 3rd grade at Pepperell Elementary. They have two daughters: Madilan Rae (11) and Vidalia Lane (7), and a son: Maddux Studd (6).
